Real People - Real God - Real Life
In the beginning God….
Before anything else, our church exists because of God. As Christians, we believe that we live our lives so that God is shaping us. Together, God is working in us and through us to make a difference. Here are some real stories of how God is changing people.
Liz, 41
I was born in Southampton, England when my mother was only 16 years old. My father who was married with kids refused to believe I was his and so my mother put me up for adoption....I have always known I was adopted and felt very special to have been chosen and to be able to enjoy a happy childhood with a Mum and a Dad and a brother.... We were taken to church and taught how to pray and I always felt very blessed. My teenage years were very difficult...I did rebel and went off track until I was able to meet my mother face to face and thank her for putting me up for adoption. I went on to travel to [various locations around the world and] finally Australia.
I truly believe God is my true Father and has blessed me in so many ways, that this year just before Easter I was reborn and my life just keeps getting better and better. God is helping me with my marriage,my health - last week I was healed after being diagnosed with a blood disorder which was causing me to bruise alot and badly. My blood test results came back normal! Our business is improving and we continue to sell more. My family relationships are improving, with my children especially. God is doing alot of great things in Townsville.... I feel so much peace now I understand God has a plan for me....My husband is not a believer, but God has a plan for him too. And only this morning he announced he is trying patches again to give up smoking. Our God is a Great God. Thank you Sharon-Marie for listening. Love Lizzie XXOO

I want to say how much I appreciated the Super Sunday - including the whole congregation in the baptisms. Being able to praise God after each one was amazing - I felt as if I was there when Jesus walked on earth! God bless you.

I have suffered with a bad knee for many years. When I came to church, my friends prayed for me and God healed me. The pain was gone and I could walk properly without a limp.

I came from a family of six kids. The best thing about having a relationship with Jesus is that you never have to be alone in any situation. I love coming to my church and hanging out with people who love God just as much. I would encourage anyone to be a part of His community beacuse you are never alone and He gives us purpose.
Matt, 32
The best thing about being a part of church is the family that it has become for us. When we first came to church we thought it would be cold and boring, to our surprise, it was warm, open and exciting. When our car was stolen, people in our church helped us. We know that the love that we feel comes only from God and our church expresses that to us.
